It seemed only last week that we trotted along the hard concrete stage of Don Andres Soriano Barangay High School sometime under the sweltering sun of March 1984 with mixed feelings of mostly excitement and nervousness. We cannot contain our excitement to finally get that diploma on our hand with our name on it in a fancy calligraphy and signed by the Big Ones, with our parents already planning to earn that extra money to get that laminated and show it off on our walls. It meant so much to us, and to our parents, like the rest of our lives depended on it. So with our nervousness blending with the marching music on the background we heard so many times in our lives but sounded a lot more special on that day, we walked that stage on those new pair of shoes our parents saved so much just for our big event, and as that rolled piece of paper landed into our hands we can’t help but wonder…………. ”Where do I go from here?”
